This site is owned and operated by Lancaster City Council ('Lancaster City Council', 'we' or 'us' or 'our'). The Contract Between Us
Any contract for purchases made through the website will be with Lancaster City Council Tourism Service. Lancaster City Council Tourism Service must receive payment of the whole of the price for the goods that you order before your order can be accepted, and the contract formed.
Once payment has been received Lancaster City Council Tourism Service will confirm that your order has been received by sending an email to you at the email address you provide in your registration form. The shipment email will include your name, the order number and the total price. Lancaster City Council Tourism Service’s acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between us on these terms. Any term sought to be imposed by you in your order will not form part of the contract.
Lancaster City Council Tourism Service is entitled to withdraw from any contract in the case of obvious errors or inaccuracies regarding the goods appearing on our website. If an error or inaccuracy is discovered with regards to the advertised price of the goods that you have ordered, we will contact you as soon as possible by e-mail. This will be to inform you of the correct price of the goods, and to ask you if you wish to continue with the order at the amended price, or to cancel the order altogether.
These terms and conditions and all transactions relating to this website are governed by English law and are subject to the non–exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. We do not accept amendments to these terms and conditions.
Additional terms and conditions may apply for prize competitions, online bidding, pre–release orders and our added value services and offers. If so, you will be alerted to them at the relevant juncture.
These terms and conditions only cover the Lancaster City Council Tourism Service website. Any other websites which are linked to from this site are governed by their own terms and conditions. We accept no responsibility or liability for the content or operation of websites, which are not under our control. We are required by law to tell you that sales can be concluded in English only and that no public filing requirements apply.

Lancaster City Council Tourism Service accepts payment by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Switch, Maestro and Delta. All product prices and delivery charges are shown in UK pounds sterling. Your payment card company will perform any currency conversion.
Upon receiving your order Lancaster City Council Tourism Service carries out a standard pre-authorisation check on your payment card to ensure there are sufficient funds in order to fulfil the transaction. No payment is debited from your card during this pre-authorisation check. Your card will only be charged upon dispatch of the items in your order. Your card will not be debited for items in your order which have not been dispatched, apart from magazine subscriptions, which, due to their nature are invoiced before the magazine is dispatched.
Availability of Goods You Order
If Lancaster City Council Tourism Service has insufficient stock to deliver the goods ordered by you, we will notify you as soon as possible and any sum debited by Lancaster City Council Tourism Service from your credit card will be re-credited to your account and Lancaster City Council Tourism Service will notify you by email at the address given by you in your order form. The refund will be made as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of your order. Lancaster City Council Tourism Service will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
Please note: we endeavour to bring our customers the best value we can by running special offers, but please remember stocks are limited at the special offer price, and subject to availability. We update our website as quickly as we can to minimise disappointment. The process of updating the website when goods have sold out at promotional price can take a few hours to update.
Changes to This Agreement
Lancaster City Council Tourism Service reserves the right to make changes to our site, policies, and these terms and conditions at any time. If any of these conditions shall be deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unforeseen, that condition shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.
We would normally aim to send your item(s) out on the same or next working day from when you place the order, subject to stock availability.
We will package the item(s) appropriately and send them out using the most appropriate Royal Mail or courier carriage.
Your items would normally be with you within 3-5 working days but if receipt of your order exceeds this time please contact us on 01524 582394.
If your item is broken, damaged or otherwise not as you expected, please contact us on 01524 582394 as soon as possible within office hours.

Returns and Refunds Policy

Some notes about refunds:
If you are unhappy with your item, please return it to· us unused and in suitable packaging.
When you send your item back to us,· we'll process the returned item then notify you of your refund. You can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for purchase within three weeks of our receiving your return.
If the return and refund have not been· processed after four weeks from the day you sent us your return, please contact us for further assistance.
How Refunds Are Calculated:
Items returned because they are damaged, defective or incorrect
If you are returning an item because of an error on our part or because it is damaged or defective, we will be happy to refund the delivery charges incurred in sending the item to you and we'll reimburse your costs in returning it to us.
Items returned within the seven-day cooling off period
By law, customers located in the European Union also have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within seven working days of the day after the date the item is delivered.
Where you are withdrawing from your purchase within the seven working day cooling-off period, and there has been no error on our part, we will refund the cost of the item and the cost of sending the item to you as follows:
Where you are returning an· item that was part of a larger order, we'll refund the per-item charge for delivery to you that you incurred.
Where you are returning an entire· order, we'll refund the per-delivery charge that you incurred for delivery to you.
We will refund only standard (Airmail) postage charges for items· delivered to you outside the UK.
Items returned under the 30-day returns guarantee
Where you are withdrawing from your purchase between seven and 30 days after delivery, and there has been no error on our part, we will refund only the cost of the item. We will not refund the cost of delivery to you or back to us or other services provided to you in connection with your purchase.

Cancelling Your Order
We would normally aim to send your item(s) out on the same or next day from when you place the order, subject to stock availability. If you wish to cancel an order please contact us as soon as possible during office hours (Monday - Saturday) on 01524 582394 and if it has not already been dispatched we will cancel the order and refund the value of the item(s). If your order has already been dispatched please refer to the Returns and Refunds policy above.
